The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) describes sustainability reporting as:
'. . . the practice of measuring, disclosing and being accountable for organisational performance while working towards the goal of sustainable development. A sustainability report provides a balanced and reasonable representation of the sustainability performance of the reporting organisation, including both positive and negative contributions.'
CPA Australia's 2010 Sustainability Report is our third independently assured and GRI checked sustainability report. The report describes our activities in the areas of thought leadership; carbon emissions; human resources; governance and community involvement and should be read in conjunction with the annual report.
