Use the following procedure to register for the CPA Australia website:
- Go to the website registration page.
- Complete the website registration form with your membership details and chosen password.
Your password should be between five and 15 alphanumeric characters and is case sensitive. You will need to re-enter your password each time you visit the website. So ensure your password is relatively easy for you to remember, but secure enough so it cannot be easily guessed by others. - Click submit. A confirmation screen will be displayed. Confirmation will also be sent to you via email.
Common registration problems
I receive an error message when I try to register
If you receive a message saying your membership number and name do not match our records, try the following:
- Re-enter your details. Ensure they are the same details as printed on your membership renewal form. Ensure that you are not entering your informal name. Passwords are case-sensitive; check that you are entering your password in the correct case.
- Check that the ordering of your first name, middle name and surname is consistent with what you have provided on your membership renewal. For example if your name is Lee Ming Pin, try entering your first name as Lee and surname as Pin, or alternatively try entering Lee Ming as your first name and surname as Pin.
I don't know my membership number
If you have forgotten your membership number contact us. You will be required to answer several proof of identity questions for security purposes.
I can't remember my password
If you have forgotten your password, use our password reminder service.
Can I access the website if I'm not a member?
If you are not a member, you can browse the website and register for CPD events. But you will be unable to access restricted areas of the website. Non-members who are enrolled in a CPA Program segment can access relevant study resources and forums where required.
