CPA Australia’s practical experience requirement (PER) will not only ensure your employees are highly competent in the areas of technical accounting and business operations, but will also develop them as well rounded professionals possessing leadership and personal effectiveness skills.
The PER has been designed to complement the professional level of the CPA Program and ensures your employees are developing skills and knowledge within your organisation.
The PER develops competency across the following skills areas:
- technical skills — employees develop their practical proficiency and expertise to ensure the highest level of accounting and finance standards are maintained
- personal effectiveness skills — employees develop the communication, interpersonal and self-management skills required to succeed in your organisation
- business skills — employees develop the skills expected of a professional operating in the business environment above and beyond their accounting and finance competencies
- leadership skills — employees develop the ethical, governance, planning and decision making skills your organisation expects of the next generation of strategic business leaders
