Benefits of working at CPA Australia

Benefits for CPA Australia staff include internal talent management, paid parental leave, achievement awards, and opportunities to volunteer and participate in social activities.

Career development

The annual performance review and development process promotes discussion about career aspirations and individual development, and ways to reach career goals. As part of its annual workforce planning process, CPA Australia identifies and develops people with leadership potential. Staff may be offered secondments to leadership positions, other teams or other offices.

Staff are encouraged to undertake further training, professional development and education. For those who want to upgrade their work-related qualifications, course fees may be reimbursed by CPA Australia.

Workplace training and professional development are offered in a range of areas, and leaders are expected to undertake management training and take part in a 360-degree feedback process to help them develop their leadership skills.

All staff can also access a wide range of CPA Library services including online and print journals and publications, DVDs, video and audio material, and specialist collections.

Flexibility

Staff may be able to work flexible hours or from home, provided the organisation's needs can still be met. Opportunities to work part-time or in job-sharing positions may also be available.

Staff are entitled to annual leave, personal leave, long-service leave, paid maternity leave, and paternity leave. Volunteering leave is available to all staff who want to contribute to the community through the staff volunteering program. Leave can also be granted for family reasons and study.

Salary, bonuses and superannuation

CPA Australia offers market-competitive salary packages, and regularly benchmarks and reviews its salary levels against the corporate market.

Subject to achievement of organisational targets and individual performance, bonuses of up to 15 per cent are awarded annually on total salary costs for eligible staff.

The conditions of superannuation vary internationally. However, in Australia, employer contributions are 9 per cent. Additional superannuation contributions can be salary sacrificed. Staff can choose their superannuation fund or use CPA Australia's default superannuation fund which offers flexibility at low cost, income protection, and death and disability insurances.

Awards

Through the 'Great Ideas!' program, staff may be paid $100.00, $1000 or more where ideas significantly improve CPA Australia processes or enhance the member experience. Awards are also given to our staff who attain five, 10, 15 or 20 years' service. Successes and awards are regularly highlighted on our intranet.
