Representative Council

The Representative Council is responsible for appointing the CPA Australia Board of Directors.

The Representative Council is comprised of one representative from each divisional council and advisory committee. For the larger divisions (New South Wales and Victoria) which account for 20 per cent of the total membership, an additional divisional council member is appointed.

In order to reflect the diversity of the membership, the council also includes one member representing each of the following: young members, mature members, corporate sector, SME sector, public sector and staffed branches.

The Representative Council is chaired by the current president of CPA Australia. From 1 October 2011 this is John Cahill FCPA.
