Advisory committees

CPA Australia has four advisory committees which advise the CPA Australia Board of Directors in the areas of:

  • education
  • insurance and professional indemnity insurance
  • international strategy  
  • sectors' issues

Professional Qualifications Advisory Committee

The Professional Qualifications Advisory Committee (previously known as the Education Advisory Committee) advises the board of directors on the education framework for members, so that it can develop and monitor educational strategy.

Public Practice Advisory Committee

This committee provides the board of directors with advice and a forum for consultation on issues relating to the public practice sector. It also advises on the development of strategies, regulations and support services so that it can manage and enhance the reputation of members working in the public practice sector.

Insurance and Professional Standards Council Scheme Advisory Committee

The Insurance and Professional Standards Council Scheme Advisory Committee advises the board of directors and its committees about their professional indemnity insurance and limitation of liability.

The committee also acts as the Scheme Administration Committee to ensure the effective internal administration of legislative limitation of liability schemes on behalf of members, and administers CPA Australia's professional indemnity scheme for members.

International Advisory Committee

The International Advisory Committee advises the board of directors on international strategy including the development of CPA Australia's reputation, brand and membership outside Australia. It also develops relationships with other professional bodies worldwide.
