Use this online form to apply for migration assessment:
When we receive the application we will conduct a brief, preliminary examination of the documents.
We will send an acknowledgment letter to confirm the documents have been received.
The letter will contain a listing of any missing material. Further information may be required once the assessment commences.
The acknowledgement letter will include a file reference number. This number should be quoted whenever you contact us, both before and after the result has been received.
Privacy legislation prohibits us from discussing details of the assessment with third parties unless you provide a signed authority for us to do so.
You must provide the original signed authorisation letter – photocopies or emails will not be accepted.
Your result
We will issue a written assessment result confirming whether the application is suitable or not suitable for the nominated ANZSCO occupation.
If the assessment outcome is suitable, it can be submitted with your visa application. Please refer to your visa application for any further study requirements you need to meet.
A suitable assessment will also contain details of the comparability of your degree qualifications for the purposes of awarding points for the skilled migration points test. Please note, determination of points under the skilled migration points test remains at the discretion of delegated officers of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Letters are valid for two years and can be updated for the purposes of migration within that period.
If the initial assessment did not meet the academic requirements for migration assessment and additional requirements are needed, the assessment letter will advise you of this.
Skilled Employment
Skilled employment is undertaken after completion of a relevant academic qualification/s and is relevant to your nominated occupation. If you receive a suitable assessment result and have also provided evidence of skilled employment for consideration, you will also receive an additional letter regarding your skilled employment claims. To gain a skilled employment assessment you must hold a valid suitable skills assessment result completed by CPA Australia.
Please note, determination of points under the skilled migration points test remains at the discretion of delegated officers of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Current members
Current members* can obtain a complimentary assessment for skilled migration by completing an application. You will need to supply the usual documentation to support your migration application. e.g. degree qualifications, IELTS Test Report Form.
*Please note that members must have paid a full annual membership fee to qualify for a complimentary assessment.
Processing Times
The current processing time for applications is approximately 4 weeks.
