International Accounting Education Standards Board
The International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB) aims to improve accountancy education around the world. The IAESB focuses on areas of accreditation, education, practical experience and professional competence. Professor Kim Langfield-Smith FCPA is Australia's representative on the IAESB.
International Accounting Standards Board
Australia was a founding member of the International Accounting Standards Board's (IASB) predecessor the International Accounting Standards Council (IASC). Australians are, and have been, actively involved at all levels of the IASB including membership of the IASB itself, staff of the IASB, members of the IASB's Standards advisory council, trustees of the IASC Foundation, as well as providing support for, or being members of, many IASB working groups. Members include Australian representative Warren McGregor FCPA.
International Audit and Assurance Standards Board
The International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) functions as an independent standard setting body under the auspices of IFAC. CPA Australia is a full member of IFAC. IAASB's members include the Australian profession’s elected nominee Merran Kelsall. Caitlin McCabe, the Transnational Auditors Committee nominee is an Australian partner at Deloitte.
International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants
The International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) develops ethical standards and guidance for use by professional accountants. The IESBA is an independent standard setting body under the auspices of IFAC, of which CPA Australia is a full member. Alice McCleary FCPA is the Australian profession’s elected nominees on the IESBA. Kate Spargo, a non-practitioner public member, is chair of the Australian Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board.
International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board
The International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) functions as an independent standard setting body under the auspices of IFAC. Australia is a full member of IFAC. Peter Batten FCPA is the current Australian representative on the IPSASB.
