CPA Australia's Sustainability Report 2009

Date issued: 28 May 2010

CPA Australia's Sustainability Report 2009 is now available on our website. CPA Australia became the first professional accounting body in the world to produce a sustainability report that had been independently assured and passed a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) check.

Now, with the publication of our second report, CPA Australia is still the only such accounting body to do so.

The report features several case studies, included as a result of stakeholder feedback sought on the first report. It describes the 'three pillars' of CPA Australia's corporate social responsibility strategy — the profession, the organisation and the community — and how environmental, social and governance business drivers impact and inform CPA Australia's activities in these areas.

CPA Australia is a GRI stakeholder and has prepared its report in accordance with the GRIs G3 guidelines.

The report is among those featured on the GRI website where it went live on the opening day of the GRIs Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency in Amsterdam, at which CPA Australia CEO Alex Malley, was a key speaker.
