CPA Australia has once again teamed up with Business Educators Australasia for the Plan Your Own Enterprise competition.
Secondary students studying in Australia or New Zealand are invited to enter the competition by completing a 3000 word plan on a creative idea for a small business.
Entries will close on Friday 3 September and students should include all the elements of a good business plan, including information around staffing requirements, marketing and financial information, and future prospects.
Business planning is an important element of business education and the competition will provide students with greater in-depth appreciation of the business world and different aspects of business operations.
‘The Plan Your Own Enterprise competition is a fantastic opportunity to involve students in a practical activity relating to planning a business. Students develop their thinking and planning skills. Students are encouraged to be both creative and responsible. The plan requires students to think, innovate and be entrepreneurial,’ says Gary Taylor, president Business Educators Australasia.
CPA Australia encourages all students to enter the competition and for teachers to involve their students in this highly rewarding educational activity.
