The Financial Reporting Council announced the new appointments and reappointment of members to the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB) in late 2010.
New members to the AASB who have been appointed on a part time basis for terms commencing on 1 January 2011 and ending on 31 December 2013:
- Anna Crawford, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu
- Professor Jayne Godfrey FCPA, Monash University
- Dr Roger Sexton, Beston Pacific Group
AASB members who have been reappointed until 31 December 2013:
- Mark Jenkin CPA, Department of Defence
- Robert Williams, New South Wales Treasury
- New members to the AUASB who have been appointed to on a part-time basis from 1 January 2011 for two and three years respectively:
- Bernie Szentirmay, KPMG,
- Kristen Wydell, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu
AUASB members who have been reappointed on a part time basis from 1 January 2011 until 31 December 2012:
- Valerie Clifford, PricewaterhouseCoopers Australia
- John Gavens CPA, WHK Horwath
- Jon Tyers, Perpetual
The International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board announced the appointment of Merran Kelsall, chairman of the AUASB, and the reappointment of Caithlin McCabe, Deloitte Australia.
